Slow, mindful yoga for all levels
Onivers Sunday Yoga is a gentle, 60-minute class combining slow movement, short yin-inspired holds, natural breathing and awareness of physical sensations.
The transitions between postures are an important part of the practice. Instead of moving quickly from one position to the next, we move gradually and notice how our weight, effort, breathing and contact with the floor change along the way.
Each working posture is held for no more than three minutes.
Who is the class for?
The class is suitable for complete beginners, people who do not consider themselves flexible and participants who already have some yoga experience.
Different versions of the postures are offered, and you are always welcome to adjust a movement, pause or rest. The aim is not to move as far as possible, but to move slowly enough to notice what is happening in the body.
What happens during the class?
We begin with a short introduction, breathing and body awareness.
The class then moves through a connected sequence of familiar, mainly floor-based postures. The movements between the postures are slow and deliberate, and the class ends with a period of rest.
