As an Events & Community Volunteer, you help plan and run events, workshops, classes, and member activities in Copenhagen. You support the practical arrangements before, during, and after activities and help give participants a positive experience.
Practical Information
- Location: Primarily in Copenhagen. Some planning tasks can be carried out online.
- Language: Danish or English, depending on the activity.
- Time: Typically a few hours per month. The commitment is agreed based on the activities and your availability.
- Format: You can contribute regularly or help with selected activities.
- Start: By agreement. Applications are considered on an ongoing basis.
What you will be part of
Onivers creates activities where people can come together around knowledge, practice, and community. As a volunteer, you help make the activities welcoming, well-organised, and accessible.
Your contribution may be what helps a new participant feel at ease, supports a workshop in running smoothly, or makes it possible for more people to take part in the community.
Your tasks may include
- Helping with planning and practical preparations
- Preparing the room and arranging materials, signs, or light refreshments
- Welcoming participants and helping them get settled
- Supporting the teacher, facilitator, or speaker with practical tasks
- Helping with registration and simple participant enquiries
- Supporting the activity as it takes place so it runs calmly and smoothly
- Helping with tidying up and brief follow-up after the activity
- Contributing ideas for new activities and community initiatives
The tasks are adapted to each activity. You will not be solely responsible for planning or running it.
The role may suit you if you
- Enjoy creating good surroundings for others
- Are welcoming, reliable, and attentive
- Are comfortable with both practical tasks and contact with people
- Can keep an overview when several things are happening at once
- Enjoy collaborating and taking responsibility for agreed tasks
Experience with events or association work is an advantage, but it is not required. What matters most is that you are engaged and willing to learn.

Role boundaries
The role does not include teaching, facilitating practices, giving advice, or supporting people with personal or mental health concerns. These responsibilities require other roles and relevant qualifications.
